The New Book of Abraham

Book of Abraham

You see, there was this guy Abraham, who lived in a not-so-easy world where people had to try extra pretty hard to survive. But Abraham was no slouch, he was tough as nails and raised a son. However, at some point during his son’s life, Abraham was clearly having some major trauma, enough to make him feel as though he may need to kill his son. Why would he think of doing such a horrible thing? Perhaps it was because he and his son had gone a month without food and he was starving, (kind of the like the Donner party, but in a warmer climate). Or maybe he was psychologically disturbed, because his wife ran away with another man and his therapist was on vacation that week. Or maybe, Abraham was just in a rage at his son for too much back talk and couldn’t handle the insubordination anymore. Who knows, but luckily, when his conscience popped up and he decided it was a terrible thing to kill his kid, he was smart enough to become not only self-aware, but self-criticize his own maniacal judgment…. to the point of turning a traumatic psychological experience into a God that forgave him (ie he forgave himself). Could it be that Abraham was projecting his own self-loathing onto his son, repressed it and then went through a delusional narcissistic panic attack and subconsciously projected himself as a God and actually believed it? In the end, Abraham what actually feared was himself after this experience, but told everyone it was God that challenged him.

But here comes Moses, a wiser older man and says, “I like this guy Abraham’s story” and he then went for a really long walk by himself in the desert to think more about it. Moses naturally became dehydrated during this walk (as he usually did when going for long walks in the desert) and then saw a mirage; not of a palm tree or waterfalls, however, but instead he saw some desert shrubs on fire. It must have been really hot that day, because the shrub started talking to him, even though Moses was likely just speaking his mind to himself and wisely reflecting on Abraham’s “God story .”
Moses loved the thought of one God during his monologue to the burning shrub, he proclaimed to himself, “This is way better than what the Greeks and Egyptians came up with, YES- this is it!” Moses then decided to boldly one-up Abraham by going and telling everyone that he actually spoke to God (an anonymous witness would later tell reporters that he actually spotted Moses talking to himself in front of a cactus, but that witness and the reporter were killed quickly by a mob of God’s followers not long after speaking up). Moses did this when highly altruistic intentions because Moses was wise and had lived a long life having witnessed how deranged humans can act and treat each other. I mean Abraham was probably starving when he almost killed his son and maybe wanted to eat him, or hated him because he was young and strong, or….who knows, we’ve already gone over this, the fact is, people were quite less civilized back then.
Anyway, Moses saw Abraham’s story as a genius opportunity to put out his moral code; the code he created on his 10 fingers, because, well he had 10 of them. These 10 things were rules people should live by if they want to preserve their species. I mean, it is hard to argue with the decency of these rules and given Moses’ clear level of intellect and life-long experiences surviving the hells of bible times, he was a perfect man for the job. He was chosen by himself because he had an idea in his biological brain.
Moses, was like the village grandpa who adopted the world as his benevolent experiment for human decency amongst a species that was getting further and further away from their chimpanzee roots. After all, not many other animal species kill their own as often as humans do/did and Moses knew that if we did not have a Lion to fear, we would always think we were kings and feel the need to kill each other.
Book of Modern World
Fast forward ahead to 2011. Now, at a time where we have no rational reason to kill one another, we continue to hone our skills of weapon mastery and mass killing. We call it defense, “they” call it Holy War, we proclaim to be fighting for Democracy, “they” argue democracy is tainted by the very nature of capitalism. The ongoing war of the past 2 Millenniums is evidence that God is alive in war and dead in peace. Abraham created God out thoughts of murdering his own kin, Moses tried his best with the Bible of Rights to keep man moral. Christianity was left to run wild in the New World and in doing so it created a place where the best killing machines are engineered, divorce rates are out of control, STDs run rampant, thieves are born every day, envy is the name of a night club that excludes those who can't afford it and you may only covet the neighbors wife if you earn enough to keep up with the Jones family because “By God, good neighbor, my wife is hot, ain’t she! I don’t blame ya for wantin to fuck’er, I’d like to fuck yers’ too! See you at church on Sunday.”

The best liars make the most money and the worst liars make the most friends. If Moses' 10 commandment scheme came from God, humans would have succeeded at following it in the New World they didn't. Instead they chose to disobey God's word, the moment they found the non-Christian Native Americans had material resources for the imperial Spanish Eurasian educated elite. Sacrifice a ram? What god in their right mind would ask humans to destroy his own creatures the way we foolishly continue to do like intelligent parasites outsmarting ourselves all the way to the end of the planet as we know it. We, the human species alone can save ourselves; the same way we created God as someone to turn to when we've let ourselves down in past hard times of human suffering. Moses was our brother, an ancestor of ours with a high-functioning brain, and he didn't need a burning bush to tell him or us that it is in the best interest of the human species to treat each other right so that others may treat us right, and we all live to see another day and learn of a better way. Jesus Christ was a greater man than most, but no less human than anyone else.

Over 2000 years ago a best seller was published for the first time and it is one of the greatest moral stories ever written. But that is where it ends. If you are one of the people who feel they need the Bible as a guide to understand that treating others decently is the right thing to do, instead of just knowing it and trying your best to do it, then you have a sick problem in your brain. Unfortunately many have this problem, and it is especially apparent with Evangelicals, which is the favorite religion amongst those that have fucked up their life and want to escape from their own self-loathing, guilt and shame. But instead of going to therapy, asking for friends and family for forgiveness, changing their ways, accepting their mistakes and moving on, they join a cult. The Evangelical cult stands on the sidelines waiting to prey on those most vulnerable with similar histories as they, and then they seek to instill it into their children or others. The Evangelical ideal is spawned from foolish victims of an American dream that they choked on while trying to swallow it whole.

Don’t fear god, but rather the human race and our continued effort to buy our way into a false heaven while creating hell on Earth. Only when humans see each other as “gods”, will we stop allowing “god” to herd us like sheep and slaughter each other like swine.

15 Reasons Why Las Vegas reflects the American Way

15. It supports the philosophy that the more money you spend, the better you are treated
14. It provides a catchy slogan that justifies infidelity
13. It's real estate economy is driven by gambling
12. A modern wonder of the world, the Hoover Dam, providing electricity to be squandered in the name of free enterprise
11. It is a place where being someone you are not is encouraged
10. It made stamped concrete the new marble and is accepted as such
9. In Las Vegas, those engaging in the same risky behavior over and over again with similar results are considered bold, not insane
8. It teaches you that if something is newer and bigger, its worth at least 2 hours of your time to wait in line for it
7. It's founding was financed by criminal activity
6. Blacking out there usually inspires bonding amongst strangers, who in turn remain strangers the next day
5. Like a carnival game, your consolation for spending money is usually tickets redeemable for something you never would've have paid for otherwise
4. The theme of the City is generally a facade that people aspire towards
3. It set up shop in a desert that runs enough fresh water through it to make the 3rd world drool
2. Celebrity chefs are as common as the tastes that they cater to
1. Like the diamond industry, Las Vegas has convinced millions of people to spend two months salary where odds are over 50% that you will lose

Survival of the Fattest-Our Modern Economy Needs YOU!

It has been 10 years since we partied like it was 1999, yet the party hasn't stopped. We are now broke, fat and still believing that our New Year's resolution to spend less on junk or to eat less of it will actually happen. It won't and why should it? It is 2010 and there is still plenty to buy and even more to eat. We must remember that it is now Survival of the Fattest and that Survival of the Fittest has been dying for decades.

Our economy does not thrive on those who are Fit, but rather pulsates to the beat of the obese and unfit. How else could 13,000+ McDonald's exist, without Survival of the Fattest. How could Coca Cola stand so tall as a multi-billion dollar sugar water enterprise without Survival of the Fattest? What kind of money could private hospitals be making if we didn't have the unfit to patronize their vacancies? Who would fill the 30 second commercial spots from Frito Lay, Miller Lite or Jenny Craig if the Fat weren't thriving on their couches.

Nielsen's whole rating system would have to change if it couldn't bank on the consistently predictable behavior of the fat and lazy to buy what they see and eat what they buy and keep coming back for more. So long as marketeers and ad agencies continue to dazzle us with "new and improved" products, Survival of the Fattest will continue.

Note from Kraft: It is now "Made with more cheese", "Made with real cheese" and there is "A pound of cheese in every bag".

Who cares about the cheese you say?
I do, but only if there is more of it.

Health Clubs, Health Magazines and Diet Supplements don't rely on the fit to buy, they rely on the fit to sell and since companies need a helluva a lot more buyers than sellers to stay in the black, survival of the fattest is necessary to keep these "Health" institutions alive.

Core clientèle of fat and lazy people feel good about joining the gym, better about the "Eat more chocolate-get skinnier" article in Redbook and best about drinking a Slim Fast for breakfast, another for lunch and gorging at dinner because, "Hey, you deserve it"! And why wouldn't you deserve it? I mean, in a system where a healthy person's insurance premium pays for your triple bypass surgery, keeping you fat ones alive is crucial to showing the world that if you are fat, you still deserve to live happily, because your survival is key to keeping our doors of business open and inpatient care the norm, not the exception.

Survival of the Fattest reflects the need for us to continue drinking Mountain Dew, eating quadruple-sized portions of processed junk, while annihilating our livers with cheap beer and hard liquor. The day at the office was long, stressful and your feet are tired from walking to the elevator- of course you don't have time to cook your kids a healthy breakfast or dinner. Rather it is better to groom our kids early towards a life of diabetic bliss- we must make sure they fall in love with Tony the Tiger, Toucan Sam and the Trix Rabbit early in life, before their foolish little minds are influenced by health nuts preaching that cardboard tastes good and Lipitor is something they should fear.

Note from Kraft: Kraft noodles are "enriched", which means that all of the nutrients are taken out during initial processing and then injected back in later so as to enlighten consumers to their "enriched" qualities.

If you are not enlightened yet, keep eating, it will come.

If you are too fat to walk, who cares, you can still surf the web, watch cable and even get insurance to pay for a motorized chair so you can glide your way through the fattest existence you can muster- just remember to keep your will power strong, your appetite stronger and don't worry, those folds will only smell when the doctor has to lift them once-a-year at your physical- No yeast, no cookies, and we can't have no cookies, so the yeasty folds in your body should stay just as they are: moist and supple.

In conclusion, it is quite clear that Survival of the Fattest is crushing Survival of the Fittest and for good reasons...many mentioned above. It just is a shame that Darwin could not have foreseen how foolish his theory of evolution was when applied to the 21st Century Capitalist economy. So long as the Fat Survive, the Fit will be forced to live a life of less. And we know that a life of less is for Africans and Monks, not for respectable Americans who want to grow their economy by eating it. It begins with one "all-you-can-eat" buffet and will only end when health care can no longer support your bloated, festering existence.

So keep your fingers crossed that modern health care continues to cater to the Survival of the Fattest, and doesn't let Survival of the Fittest show its sunken, ugly face ever again. Cheers to the Fat and my regards to the Fit- you gave it a good run since the beginning of time, but now it is time to be eaten to death. Just remember that obesity is a luxury we can all afford.

This message was brought to you by Kraft, a veteran sponsor in the battle against the Fit.

The Old Man and the Ribs

There I was there drinking a beer by myself as usual.
This old ,old, old man slowly walked over to the bar.
He took off his cowboy hat, his skin was so white, like parchment-
And looked over the menu for like an hour slowly drinking a whiskey water.
I never took my eyes off him.
His skin was stretched over his old brittle bones-
He must have been 140 years old.
Eventually he ordered a very specific meal from the menu.
Barbecue ribs were placed in front of him-
And I watched intently as he devoured the entire rack, small bite by small bite.
Snapped every bone clean of meat-
With his tiny, efficient teeth.
But during the middle of the meal, he must have noticed me watching him-
Yet I couldn't take my gaze off of him
So the last two bones, we just stared at each other as he slowly finished his ribs-
And I could only think that he was eating human bones-
And regenerating his life.
I think he gave me a slow smile while eating the last bone-
And licked his lips.

What is more "American": Mexicans or Entitlement?

Let all of the Mexicans into America. They deserve a shot at the dream the same way that we Europeans got when we came in and wiped out the Native Americans. However, they, the Mexican people, don't come in brandishing a Smith and Wesson, but rather a shovel and a determination to earn their freedom from bleak economic circumstance. They represent the antithesis of entitlement, that ugly little "talent" that has begun to fill our universities in record numbers with soldiers of inherited fortunes being consigned to colleges that continue to graduate these soldiers because they had the money to buy their degree and in turn buy their treadmill career as an unoriginal cog in the machine of corporate ubiquity where economic dominance is the reward.

These entitled soldiers of inherited fortune earned their degree by socializing, drinking and passing classes in their free time. Earning their degree in the purest form- through learning- is no longer necessary for the 21st century post high school education. So long as the "students" have an IQ over 100 and a drive that compels them towards escaping failure (ie getting a passing grade), they will continue to "succeed" and get their degree of white-collar entitlement enabling them to buy wealth at the cost of human currency, or just end up with $50,000+ in debt.

For those without degrees, those complaining about the Mexicans taking their blue collar jobs- pick up the pace, and do it better than they do- work harder- or would you rather create some sort of white trash affirmative action group to save your place in line amongst the rest of the lazy union-entitled scabs who claim their ability to speak English makes them worth a damn.
We need to realize that America shouldn't be a place that blocks itself off from the rest of the world in order to save our lowest common denominator from being unemployed. America is an idea that represents opportunity to all that want it bad enough- not just opportunity for those lucky enough to have been born on its soil. We made America great in the past by embracing those bold enough to charge into the country and work it for all its worth thus creating value for all.

The term "brain drain" was exemplified by the best and the brightest wanting to exodus from their own country's homeland for a better opportunity. This was a good thing for America in the past, but have now become frightened and are shutting our doors in the name of security to live in a place where many great minds flee back to their native countries while lesser minds flourish in a police state corralling the trash whose idea of a job is pumping out kids to inflate their welfare checks and patronize a disgusting existence.

Why does this work? Because we continue to nurture the "talent" of entitlement which knows no bounds in America- from the highest skyscraper to the lowest trailer park, this entitlement continues to charade as patriotism while poisoning our integrity and alienating foreign relations.

Its time to open the doors again America, put down our weapons and let us reflect who we were once proud to be. Let us see the greatness of America through the eyes of a Mexican, a Korean, an Iraqi, a Russian or the many others that came to this country for the pursuit of happiness, the real dream, not this withering flower of nepotism, entitlement and complacency.

11 Things I Wish on 11/11 at 11:11

11. I wish companies would spend more money on R & D and less on marketing the illusion of it.

10. I wish people would live a reality life, not watch it.

9. I wish advertisers feared content and not the other way around.

8. I wish parents would view teachers as educators, not as scapegoats for their own negligent parenting.

7. I wish the government wasn’t saturated by lawyers- it’s like inmates amending the rules of the prison.

6. I wish the world would realize that global warming is not the issue, but rather pursuing renewable energy sources for the future is and only in that pursuit will we be able to not only reduce global warming, but have enough energy to survive as a growing society.

5. I wish people would stop hating each other and instead hate what they’ve become.

4. I wish US citizens would realize that although the news media attempts to be objective, we can only truly understand a story from first-hand experience making ignorance inevitable so instead of fearing it we should instead embrace other sources of enlightenment besides the news media. Our elders would be a good place to start.

3. I wish to argue that if “Freedom is not Free”, “Greed is Good” and “Crime deserves Punishment”, we will always be free to afford a silk hat and put it on our pig without ever being punished for it.

2. I wish that modern religion would better seek compassion and lose the intolerance it condones.

1. I wish I was free of the hypocrisy that this list unavoidably exposes.
